Georgia Child Support Will Change on January 1, 2007

If you have a current child support order, you could be eligible for a substantial reduction in child support. Under the new law, the income of both parents will now be considered when ordering child support. Also, the court will consider NET pay, rather than gross pay. This could mean a substantial reduction in child support for some non-custodial parents.

You must petition the court for a review of your child support order. Contact Carroll County child support attorney Candace Rader to see if it would be to your advantage to go back to court.

Adoption

We are pleased to assist parents in providing a secure home for a child through an independent adoption, a relative adoption, or a step-parent adoption. We can guide you through the legal process and help complete the necessary paperwork after a child has been placed in your home.

Juvenile Court

We assist family members who are seeking temporary custody of a child when a parent is unable to provide proper care. We represent parents who have been charged with neglect and deprivation. Carroll County family lawyer Candace Rader also represents young people charged in juvenile court with delinquency or other criminal offenses.
